History Suzuki Grand Vitara II

Grand Vitara is an SUV type car introduced to production by the Japanese Suzuki group in 2005. The vehicle was built on GM's Theta floor plate, but unlike other cars based on this plate, Suzuki had a longitudinally mounted engine. The car, thanks to the 4-wheel drive, reducer and large ground clearance, was perfect for off-road driving. In 2008 the vehicle underwent a face-lifting, which, apart from minor stylistic changes, improved safety by introducing traction control as standard equipment and increasing the number of airbags. The interior of the car has been slightly modernized by introducing a display on the air conditioning panel. The advantage of the car was good handling and quality of workmanship. Despite the compact design, Grand Vitara also provided a large amount of space for passengers and in the loading space. The disadvantages include the fuel consumption of gasoline units and the lack of an automatic transmission in combination with a diesel. The automatic transmission itself was also not very successful and had a rather long response time.
