Power and Associates, which analyzed the automotive market, recognized Lexus as the most valuable brand on the US market.
The Lexus LS 400 was distinguished by a fairly unique silhouette, no Toyota elements were used. It was powered by a V8 gasoline engine with a capacity of 4,0 liters and driven on the rear axle. The car premiered in 1989 at the Detroit car dealership. This model was to create competition for Mercedes and Bmw car models. Lexus devoted the following years to the development of its network of representatives in European countries and Japan. It came into existence in the east and stayed there in 2005, showing after a year compact ISs, SC cabriolets and medium-sized GS limousines.
In 2006, the company promoted the new LS series (LS 460 and LS 460 L), which became famous as the first car with an automatic parking system. Lexus proudly showed, then LS models, which were able to park in performances without the help of the driver between the pillars erected from champagne glasses. Jury from around the world were very impressed by the models presented by Lexus that they decided to award the title of World Car of the Year 2007.
