Class C car in the form of a hatchback and sedan. The car was officially presented in 2003. in Geneva. A year later the sedan body was introduced. Mazda was built on a C1 floorboard borrowed from a Ford. The front suspension is based on the classic MacPherson, while the rear uses a wishbone design, which also came from the Ford. The car enjoyed very good driving reviews. Mazda also gained recognition due to the performance and interior design, and only four-star crash test results raised reservations (later the number of airbags was increased). The car provided sufficient space for 5 passengers, as well as luggage space with a capacity of 340l. In 2006 the car was subjected to a facelift, during which the front bumper, bonnet, air conditioning control panel and cockpit color were changed. The engine range has been extended by the 2.0MZR-CD unit with DPF filter. The noise level of the cabin has also been improved. In 2007 the producer presented the fastest version of Mazda 3 called MPS. The car had a turbocharged 2.3l engine with 263 hp combined only with a manual transmission. Car acceleration from 0 to 100km / h was 6.1s.
