We are pleased to announce that our extremely wide range of aluminum rims has recently been enriched with rims made in the flow forming technology, which are characterized by even greater durability and reduced weight. We will try to present the method of producing such rims and answer why it is worth investing in such rims.

For some time now, we have received many questions about the availability of forged wheels, which provide excellent impact resistance and above-standard weight of vehicles. In response to requests, we decided to expand the range with flow forming rims, which provide excellent resistance to deformation, but are also characterized by a reduced weight compared to rims made in standard technology. Flow forming is the perfect compromise between durability and price.

This technology is one of the most modern used in the production of aluminum elements and is based on the pressure applied to the molded rim, which is simultaneously heated to high temperature.

In the first step, the pre-formed aluminum disc is placed on a machine that enables it to rotate, during which the inner part of the rim is subjected to pressure from the roller pressing it. This process continues for a period of time to stretch and compact the aluminum particles at the same time. Below is a video showing the production of flow forming rims.

Strength tests show that the rim made in the flow forming technology is about 20% more resistant to impact than the standard one. The same disproportion can be seen in the number of hits that a rim can take before being damaged. In other words, we will be able to cover more kilometers before damaging our wheel :)

It is not difficult to notice that the entire production process, flow forming, is very associated with the production of forged rims, therefore the ideal strength was obtained, but also the weight was reduced, which is one of the main advantages of aluminum rims. It should be emphasized that the use of such rims will make our car, apart from better handling, receive a bonus in the form of slower wearing parts of the suspension and brakes.
